Diodes in a Balmar alternator

I have a Balmar alternator, model 912-100.
The alternator failed at the beginning of the season and as we were cruising in the Greek isles I replaced it with the original VP alternator.
Now I am back in Malta I have opened up the Balmar alternator and find that 1 of the 6 diodes is shorted and the braid wire connection between it and another diode has melted.
It looks repairable, 6 new diodes plus replacing all the braid wire connections. I think the original cause was the crimp terminal on the post of the failed diode coming loose and going high resistance, causing a serious overheat/diode failure/wire melt.
The diodes are standard 1/2 inch press-fit diodes, 3 +, 3 -. But they are unmarked. So I have no part numbers, spec etc.
My problem is sourcing the diodes. I have scoured the net for suppliers in the UK with no success. Any help with suppliers would be appreciated.

Diodes for Alternator

The above link does not seem to me to show the type of diode you want. You need the standard alternator type with a press in body and pig tail with lug. These are just about standard on all alternators so it seems to me replacements should be OK from any supplier ie for any alternator. You might want to ensure the current rating is appropriate to your alternator but voltage rating should not be a problem.

Not sure that 60 amp is a high enough rating for a Balmar Alternator, but a quick search shows that 60 amp is about the highest I could find. I know that they are paralleled up, but I would have thought that in a 100 amp or 120 amp alt' 60 amp diodes are a bit low...

Some alternator diodes look more like:

Try googling 'alternator diodes'

or approach Balmar and ask for some spares?
