Dinghy Davits

Our gantry doubles up as davits. I don't understand worries about lifting an airdeck or ply floor dinghy. Ours has two lifting patches ( https://polymarineshop.com/circular-d-ring-patch-pvc.html ) on the inside of the side tubes near the bow and eye bolts in the transom. 2.9m ply floor dinghy + outboard weigh around 85 kgs and the patches take my weight as well when fitting/removing outboard.

Typically over time, patches become wear spots, and if the dingy looses pressure, the floor can either pull out or damage the tubes. Suport from below is much safer in the long term. Watch your inflation pressure and Good luck to you.

Plywood floor won't pull out, (same fixing used to apply to our previous airdeck dinghy) as the lifting patches are on the side tubes and no problems with wear after quite a few years.
