All my posts are boaty as my boaty friends live here and so I have virtual conversations here instead of down at the yacht club on Tuesday nights. This saves me a considerable amount of money as I don't have to buy drinks and reduces risks as I cannot be flashed at for speeding or invited to blow into breathalysers on the way home.
Being of a sound, creative and active mind, there are many times when I start a post or join in a thread and I've no idea which way it is going to go - that is before I press the continue button, nothing to do with thread drifts etc.
So - do I contribute as usual and risk incurring the wrath of serious sailors who are irritated by jockish language and deviation (oops- rather boaty that one, sorry!) or do I just go onto the NB falorum and hope to see some of you there sometime?

I was rather hoping that Kim would set up a separate Scots BB, with simultaneous Babelfish translation facility for those who don't speak fluent Pictish. However, I guess this is some way down the development food chain that and we are going to have to carry on just guessing what the Hell you, Jimi, Parahandy et al are talking about.

If you want to discuss deviation, I guess you should contact Weekend Julie. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I have suggested that there should also be a Blue Peter Forum with Valerie Singleton for anything related to sticky back products and probably glue... so your dilemma I fear is now becoming even more complex...

Blue Peter aspect already covered by PBO /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Weekend Julie

To B or not to B - that is the question
as opposed to NB or not NB
Obtusion is the mother of confusion and the questions are more important than the answers

Re: Weekend Julie

"Queen's English".. Definitely one for Julie, then /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif.

No, I guess I shouldn't be answering but, to let you in on a secret, I'm not really French..........

Re: Help at hand ...or maybe, not

No longer will I have to worry about the Scottish language aspects of various posts, I thought, when I right clicked just now and saw that Bill Gates has added a "Translate into English" facility.

However, I have to say that it does not entirely work.

I fear I should inform you that she bats for the other team..... apparently! I do hope I haven't ruined your day...

Cricketing metaphor

Yes; I've heard this said as well. I also seem to recall a suggestion, some years ago, that Joan Armatrading was (allegedly) at the other end of the wicket from her, so to speak.

Oh, my shattered illusions...........
