All my posts are boaty as my boaty friends live here and so I have virtual conversations here instead of down at the yacht club on Tuesday nights. This saves me a considerable amount of money as I don't have to buy drinks and reduces risks as I cannot be flashed at for speeding or invited to blow into breathalysers on the way home.
Being of a sound, creative and active mind, there are many times when I start a post or join in a thread and I've no idea which way it is going to go - that is before I press the continue button, nothing to do with thread drifts etc.
So - do I contribute as usual and risk incurring the wrath of serious sailors who are irritated by jockish language and deviation (oops- rather boaty that one, sorry!) or do I just go onto the NB falorum and hope to see some of you there sometime?
