Difference between the French and the Dutch flags

.....but when approaching Cherbourg and searching for the required courtesy flag, how do you remember which is the French and which is the 'T' ?

We have red white and blue, the French have the reverse (counting from the hoist of course).

That's very clever - hadn't thought of it.

Some people I know have difficulties telling Germany and Belgium apart.

Tango flag, of course, is 'Keep Clear of me; I am engaged in pair trawling' - I didn't know the IMO had predicted some of the celebs on _Strictly_.
