True, but gas oil is what it has run on for the past x years. No doubt it will be getting white next year as well as it will be easier.

Have always wondered about the two oils in my boiler, and the costs involved.

I also want to know if it is currently cheaper to run heating in the house on electricity than oil!

[/ QUOTE ] Well the links in previous posts give you the calorific values of the oils, you know how much you pay for your oil so you can work out how many Btus you get for your bucks. It should be possible to discover how much your electricity supplier charges you per kWhr.
All you then need to know to compare the running costs is the efficiency of your boiler!
