Does the current industrial action in France mean that it is difficult to get diesel in Cherbo? We are thinking of a trip over there and to the CI next week. Is it being rationed?

Anyone over there at the moment and can advise?

Well if you are going to the Channel Isles thats the place to buy fuel!

There's no shortage in Brittany, no sign of any industrial action or rationing.
But fuel in the CI's will be your best bet as has been pointed out. We had fuel ranging between 1.13 and 1.30 euros per litre over the last two and a bit weeks.

Roll on the 'in' vote and a better exchange rate :)

We have just had a drive to Portugal and back from Calais down the motorways of the west coast and had saw no restrictions of fuel anywhere. The initial shortages were brought about through panic buying and the French have released their 3 month strategic stock pile. We carried 30 litres of spare fuel with us (and brought it back!)
Driving to Spain in a week and won't be taking any spare fuel this time.

We drove from Spain through France less than a week ago, staying with friends who live near La Rochelle, no sign of any shortages, and friends confirmed no longer any problems there.
