the only use i have for diesel is for my heater

easiest way would be to use a portable plastic "red petrol" tank, the type that is used as an external tank for an out board

can i use the same plastic fuel line for the first part of the plumbing ?

the tank will obviously get air in with use, put in diesel bug killer, or won't that make any difference ?

many thanks, Simon

I don't see why not but your biggest problems going to be that the portable tank will need venting and if it's inside the boat/locker it'll sink the boat out with diesel smell/fumes. For the best results you'll have to vent the tank "over the side".

Peter.

Rather than use a red plastic outboard tank take a look at what is available from Tek Tanks.

Ive used a 3 gallon outboards tank for my heater for a number of years.

Bleeding air out the pipes to the fuel pump will take a long time. Just feed 12volts on and off the pump contact until its bleed.

Also, never disconnect the tank. Fill it insitu. Otherwise you'll have to bleed it again, and it seems to take forever when its cold!

Hope this helps
