The folloowing e-mail was received by B & Q's Customer Service Dep't this morning:



"Dear Sirs,

Congratulations on getting a yacht to leave the UK on 26th November, sail 27,354 miles around the World, and arrive back in record time some 72 days later.

Could you please let me know when the kitchen that I ordered 96 days ago, will be arriving from your warehouse 13 miles away?!"

Wot about COLREGS and keeping proper lookout?
Can this be done when single handed, by sight and hearing as well as all available means etc etc.......? Especially when zipping around at those speeds

Apparently this is why the RYA don't back any single handed offshore racing...

Oh - and it definately WAS red flares .... but I think she was pretty distressed .....!!
