go to the liferaft demo on Saturday Morning.

Some of us let off a flare, saw a liferaft half inflate and went home.

Didn't really know if anyone from here was there, if you see what I mean!

Was it a valuabe session? I'm doing a sea survival course soon and wouldn't want to bother with this session in the future unless it was to see our own liferatft inflate.

Don't cancel your sea survival course, this was a one off by maritime safety..just an open day really.

Yachtcom were there, they do sea survival and were taking bookings for their courses..

We were there first thing - if you saw a tired old all orange plastimo life raft in the centre of the warehouse, that was ours. Given the age of it, it was nice to see it worked - be interesting to see if it is condemed - have more or less resigned ourselves to getting a new one as that one has been out of manufacture for years. Was nice to see flares in operation and have a go - first time either of us have personally set off a flare, interesting to see variation in output and ease of operation.
