Can anyone help. Do dgps transmissions cover the Irish Sea? Ihave been given a dgps reciever and cannot get a signal from it

If you use the same system as I did when surveying, then you need to tune into the nearest signal.
Would have to look up the nearest to you. Nash is my nearest in Swansea.

It depends where the differential corrctions are coming from. Most common would be Trinity house corrections which are Free of charge, it will all depend on your diffential receiver you are using.

But since the wobble was switched off, you generally don't need DGPS. Simple GPS is accurate to 10m or so.

I used to use dgps for wreck fishing in the Irish sea, I am fairly certain the signal comes from Point Lynass (spelling)
