Detroit River Info

Greetings, Can anyone give me any information on the Detroit river thru Port Huron area? Specificly, I am going thru this area in about 5 weeks with my 64 sailboat ,no rigging, I draw about 6ft. Are there any places to tie-up other than marinas for just one night? Wharf, moorings, docks, ect? Being single screw, this boat does not turn on a dime, plus with my draft, that eliminates quite a few marinas. Are currents too swift to anchor? Any info would be appreciated.

I did'nt realize this was a Jonny Bull web-site. With my last name being Cooper, I have a bit of Limey blood myself. I guess most of you would not have much info on the Detroit river, I don't know much about the Thames either. But have a good day anyway. Capt. Bob Cooper
