Got one today!

Just perchased one today a Humminbird perana 4 , if you go to humminbird.com they show their full range. It even gives the water temp. also the tranducer can be placed inside the hull.
The garmin it would have been nessesary to buy a seperate thru hull transducer to do this.

I've been looking at the Garmin site and on all of the models except the 80 the supplied transom transducer will work epoxied to the inside of the hull.

It may be that the 80 will work as well but there are no online manuals so I can't check it out. Its got a fair bit less power than the larger models I think, so it may not.

if you go to the lowrance site you can download an emulator and actually play with the thing 'live' on you screen at home finding out what effect all the functions have!
High end units only I admit but still fun!

Got a very good price on a Garmin 100 which I'm sure will do the job for us.
