PS 10 posts I think.
PPS No. Just tired. We mostly come into work for a browse through the fora and a rest after a hard weekends' sailing.

I thought you had to say something really clever and witty to become a "regular" It turns out that you automatically become a regular after 10 posts. As to the other point, there was an interesting discussion a few weeks about it and whether people are using the forum during working hours. I find it keeps me sane and provides welcome light hearted relief. By the way, I'm not at work now.

Shame on you - fancy giving the impression that we aren't all slaving away to save the money to build and even bigger version of Mirabella V and annoy Jo Vittoria's wife by decorating it even more nicely than she did......only an additional $3.8 million!!

Dearheart runs the shop while I potter round the house doing the list of jobs she leaves me. This gives me a free run to build boats, play with computer and go to gym.
That reminds me, this might cheer you up. At the gym is a graph, I'll describe it as I cannot scan it. Draw two lines, one vertical, one horizontal. The latter should be marked out in sections representing age 10 to 80 years. Vertical lines represents strength. From age 10 to 20 the graph line ascends steeply in straight line (from bottom left corner to say 100 units) Then there is another straight line descending only slighly from age 20 to 60 (say 90 units)
From that point there is a third line descending steeply to age 80.
If drawn correctly it may be seen a person gains strength rapidly from age 10 to a maximum at age 20. After which there is a gradual decline to age 60. From this point there is a rapid decline so that at age 80 the person is a weak as a 10 year old. The point is made that this decline can be offset to an extent by exercise.
You will see that you have 20 good high strength fit years before you have to worry about reverting to a 10 year old.
Unfortunately I am on the third line!
Regards Briani

Ah! Kids! Remember them well!

It should still be daylight up here till at least 10pm. I'll need all the help I can get so as not to bump into Claymore who is already up about the west coast.

Are you going through the canal on Saturday/Sunday? If so will try to look out for you as it is our annual trip to Crinan to cycle along the canal path and watch the boats.

Hi Donald

Does 6.00 am really exist? I may have to talke your word for it!

Really appreciate the offer regarding Rebels mooring. I stop today for two weeks and intend to get a few mini-cruises in. Where is Rebels mooring and how might I recognise it? Oh I could ask Neil!

Best of luck and hope you repeat your earlier successes

Regards
Cameron

It certainly does.
Even worse was last years start from Croabh to Tobermory. To get the tide the start of the race was at 05:45am. This year the start is a more respectible 11:00am.

Rebel's mooring is just next to the Kames Hotels moorings. Lassiette - my fathers Robert Clark wooden boat is just inshore and it is directly offshore from my parents house - the one with the green and white boathouse on the shore. - it has a bright orange bouy and is marked 'Rebel' - ignore the message on the pick up - Sheena wanted something stronger!

I've heard that there is quite a strong entry in our class this year - with the length of the races I'm hoping a few boats will retire and motor!!! We'll keep going...

Enjoy the mini-cruises.... hopefully we'll get to Harris this year.. well I've bought the charts!
