Welcome to the forums.

Just as a tip, you only need to put a post on one of the forums, multi posting is frowned upon and some of the self righteous lot will delight in jumping all over you at any chance.

This forum, PBO, is best for technical help, such as the question you have asked. Scuttlebutt is more for general sailing chat and banter. The Lounge is, if you dare, for the brave. Whilst you can have a bit of a fun, anything serious is met with opinions of some self appointed know it all experts.

Without knowing the models in detail it is difficult to be specific. It's likely to be one of the following

1. Hardware: The various manufacturers have different labels for the signal wires TX/RX/IN/OUT .... and from whose perspective? ... making it very easy to make the wrong connections. Get someone else to check they agree with your interpretation.

2. Software: They communicate over NMEA at 4800 baud. Make sure they are talking the same langauge at the same speed.
