Boat-Shift delivered to SCM on time last Friday to swap boats. It was throwing it down with rain early Friday, but the weather gods were kind as the morning unfolded and the eldest had the pleasure of unwrapping....

New and old were next to each other whilst gear was transferred

I arrived after all the hard work was done and we had a family weekend aboard with a trip to Peniscola to give the engines a shakedown - pushing 35knots - before a Bbq, in the lagoon.

I had some handling practice before settling down for the night and back to a cold and gloomy UK the next day...

The Bav served us well and was a cracking boat but was specced for Northern Europe, this one is Med specced which was our main attraction.

The weather over the weekend improved and was a very pleasant 17 - 19 throughout. Looking forward to our next trip out in 3 weeks time...

Looks great
Although a long time ago 2005 I vividly remember helping to unwrap mine - with todlers - massive present opening - kinda excitement - just the sheer scale of the parcel and the relief the " present " works
Thx for posting
What's happing to the "Bav" ?

Thanks.

The Bav was p'xd, so on the way back to the UK. With hindsight a good choice, as it appears the boat was doubling up as a floating shed, and even after being ruthless by throwing away stuff we didn't need, it still took a good 3 days before we had some semblance of normality..

+1 great boat, what are your plans for the coming summer? are you heading across to IBZ and Mal or doing the mainland?

Really happy for you after all the hard work negotiation etc, I'm sure she will serve you very well, stunning looking boat one of my favourites.

Thanks.

Pxed at Burton Waters by any chance?

Believe I saw it at their Lincoln yard this morning.

Fabulous looking boats, I had the V40 earlier model and they are great big sports boats, really nice to drive.

Enjoy her over the coming years....

Thanks all.

To answer your questions

Henry F. The good fenders where on the other side :-D

I would like to take her across to the islands, but until her first service in Spain, will probably stay close to mainland and will probably venture as far south as Denia this year... But then the islands do beckon from there...

Indeed now at B Waters

I have grown attached to my orange fender - seems an eon ago that we were waiting for you at the Hamble fuel pontoon :-D

The " patio door" version is I believe a V48 but stand to be corrected

Once we got used to her very easy to manoeuvre (famous last words) but with the Bavs relatively flatter hull, a touch into gear was more of a jolt, with this one, with a deeper V hull, a touch into gear and the movement and power delivery is so much smoother

Andy

Looks right at home there.

Next trip across, you just need to fill your luggage with some slightly newer fenders.
Maybe the orange ball fender should be given a Viking Funeral in the lagoon?
