My 'ridiculous' post that I thought was not ridiculous at the time of posting was to do with finding the distance log on my chart plotter... after scrolling through the menu after owning it for 10 years and finding out I have steamed more than 37k nm in the 8 years I have owned the boat.
It was a rainy afternoon and I was stuck in a cold wet lock for nearly an hour and I was bored.
Was it a ridiculous post?
Edit
Now that I have reposted it I think it is a bit silly, who would care.

37k nm isn’t bad for 8 years.
I've only done around 70 nm this year. Was hoping to go away later this week, but rain and wind together is rather off putting !

I followed KevinV's advice and asked the moderators to delete my "Deleted" thread.

They have not, as yet, seen fit to do so; although they have done me the courtesy of locking it against further replies.

I realise that this will, of course, cause great disappointment amongst those queuing up in their thousands to contribute it; and the distressing sound of them wailing and gnashing their teeth is almost too much for a sensitive person to bear.

But, to be honest, I am not sorry; too much excitement might have proved harmful, fatal even, to that decrepit cadre of the aged and infirm who have nothing better to do than while away the twilight of their lives on this forum.

I think you should start a thread about it.
