Deck shoes,boat shoes,bare feet...........

Well i need a new pair of shoes,I like dubarry but a bit wide fitting,as are quayside(great value though) have seabago at the min and like them but their size 46 is a bit smaller than the usual /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
SO....what are your favourites im a size 46 /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Have tried lots of expensive shoes but Crocs do it all for the best price. Not the best looking but very practical if you do not mind going without socks (good for summer)

Got 2 pairs of Crocs OK not everyones cup of tea but I find them extremely practical......
Also have a pair of Ellese canvas trainers with a non marking sole which have excellent grip and allow the feet to breath.

I use a pair of non marking soled blue canvas shoes from the local cheepo shop. A fiver well spent and good for a couple of seasons. Barefoot on board a lot of the time but the club won't allow bare feet so need some shoes

I love to go barefoot but perhaps I am not just spacially aware enough to do it on a boat because I ALWAYS end up damaging my toes on sticky out bits of stainless steel /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Couldn't agree more! Our 2 year old is the official shoe-keeper. If he sees any shoes in the cockpit he'll immediately pick them up and put them into the correct transom locker

Crocs. Wet or dry deck & they get even more non-slip with use. Don't be tempted to get clone fake crocs, nothing comes close to being as good as a genuine croc.

Crocs are good, bare foot is good when it's warm enough and my current deckshoes came from Aldi, cost 15 quid and are comfortable and grip. I use all as the mood takes me!

hi everbody

have to admit, they definitely look cool, and useful. I wouldn't mind giving some a try, but for some reason I can't stand anything between my toes, it drives me crazy. It's like the equalivant of someone dragging their nails down a chalk board. I guess I will just have to stick with traditional running shoes or my Brock Lesner specials. They work in cold enviroments, and cactus needles definitely have a tough time getting through the bottoms.

Definately bare feet every time, but i have nothing sharp, or anything really to stub my toes on now.

I also have a pair of Hush Puppy trainers about 7 years old, these have soles so sticky they grip on anything, so remain on board when alighting onto wooden pontoons.
