I vote for bare feet with a set of crocs at hand for jumping on to wooden pontoons (splinter city)!

Mustos for me, the question is with or without socks. Always thought the grip was great until I slipped off the back on Friday and left chunks of my shin somewhere on the back of the boat. Fortunately didn't make it all the way to the drink, now considering putting the lifejacket on at a much earlier point in the proceedings. It was raining though.
Tried crocs in a shop somewhere, found them too hard and uncomfy - but I do have dodgy heels and am very sensitive to shoes.

Cheapo sailing boots in Spring,as soon as its warm enough, bare feet. I seem to have a problem with deck shoes in that I cant stop buying them. Cupboards full of 'em- just they dont ever seem to get to the boat.Mind you son No2 has just noticed he has the same size feet, so I suspect my stash might dimish rather rapidly.

For me, it's Musto boots for the winter (the most comfortable I've ever had) and Quayside deck shoes for when boots are not needed.
