Deck paint with fleck?

I need to paint the deck. Saw one a few days ago - light grey with what looked like a very small darker fleck. Should have taken a pic.

What might that have been?

You used to be able to buy a spray that was used on the insides of Shetland boats, don't know if it is still available, this vid at around 10 minutes shows another way.

Kiwigrip paint ? Not flecked but the texture might give that effect.
