My old and rather naff cheapo deck brush is now deceased. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good new one? It's main purpose is to remove the annoying blackish film that seems to build up on the gel coat ... oh and of course bird sh*t.

Cheers

The Christmas Force 4 catalogue has a telescopic brush with a hose fitting so a flow of water can be used if required. The old price was £25-now £12.95. Just bought one-very good so far.

Sorry about that I was being silly.. have you fnd outnwhat you need?
OTOH.... Deck Brush seems such a good forum name......

I was certainly interested in the feed back for a deck brush, its certainly not a matter for err mirth or jocality.personally I find my stiff bristles become softer with time, even so it still has is uses-

Not very impressed with the telescopic type with hose attachement. Bought on at a boat jumble thinking what a bargain, lasted two cleaning sessions. Maybe I lent a bit hard on the handle, but it just collapsed. The wall thickness of the aluminium looks less than 1mm.

This Swobbit brush, are the handles any more robust??, otherwise its back to the trusty wood handle and deck scrub head

Plastic hose attachment nipple on mine snapped off at second use. Screw on fitting not a standard size so not replaced. Not even very good as a simple brush due to flimsy tube, as you say.
