Deben Entrance

The Deben Estuary pilot states the buoys are in place up to October. Will they be there next week? 6th November? I am pretty confident they will be, but it would be good to have it confirmed! Making my annual pilgrimage to Robertson's. In my opinion, the finest boatyard on the East Coast!

I don't think they are usually lifted.
If they are, the channel over the bar is pretty well straight in line with the shore now with no turn at the green buoy.
Come in towards the top of the tide keep the large red beacon piles in line and then stay quite close to the beach and rock armoring and you should be o.k.

Correct, the buoys usually stay in place all year round. The ones at the Ore entrance do however get removed for the winter, and are replaced after the Spring survey.

The ones in the Ore have gone for a rest over winter.

Do they also remove the haven or safe water buoy at the Ore ?

The SWM remains, it wasn't all that long ago that wasn't anything beyond that to help with entering the river.
