I came over the bar yesterday, tide height was 1.85m and never had less than 1.2m Under the 1.5m keel. A lot better than last year, must have had a bit of a scrub out this winter.

Apparantly the shallow area shown on the chart has become a lot shallower.
So this needs to be avoilded with a quite sharp turn to starboard after the red Deben buoy.
If you take a look at www.eastcoastrivers.com you will see that Chris Woods has just posted two very good and very recent ie. yesterday, aerial photos of the Deben and Ore entrances. I believe Chris is finalising the Deben entrance chart as we speak.
A survey has been done and there has apparently been very little change from last year.
