It's the time of year to think about next seasons cruising. So a request that the suplimentary red can put in position mid summer last year be placed again (hopefully every year). It was very useful and as well as giving an additional datum, in what has become a narrow channel, helped in head on passing situations. I'm going to contact John White to suggest it. Be interesting to see what the support is, maybe ECP could take it up?

It certainly seemed to do the job. Not sure how John stands with it as the official buoyage is placed where Trinity House say it should be, based on the survey each Spring and sometimes adjusted during the season if there are storms that change the topography.
And of course there was the extra shore transit post too in 2014, although it was an existing marker (suitably embellished!) that happened to be on the transit for last year's buoy positions
We'll be talking with John nearer the time, I'm sure.
