The new Imray chartlets for the Deben and Ore entrances, drawn from last month's surveys by Trinity House, are now available for free download from our website.
We add advice to the prefix note on each chartlet from time to time during the year, but the chartlets themselves are 'approved' by Trinity House and will not change this year unless further surveys are done.

Wow, didn't think I'd see the Deben entrance was worse than the Ore.
Weird that those two got hit and Southwold stayed pretty much the same if slightly better.

Out of interest is the entrance to Walton better or worse this year?

Why weren't west knoll and haven moved northwards? The red track line now goes over the very shallowest part of the bar.

Not sure how it compares as last year's chart is on board, but the 2016 chart is now on the ECP website. From memory it looks ok and we've been through at lw +1 with 1.6m draft last month (with 0.3 under the keel).

Thanks for the update , downloaded ready for colour printing and laminating ?

Just out of curiosity - can any members speak to the accuracy of the chartlets? I ask because I seem to remember that last year the "official" chartlet showed a knoll where none existed and had to be corrected...?

Good point because having compared the Navionics chart with the chartlet, the end of the eastern knoll spit is shown as much further south on Navionics barring access to the deeper channel. That would explain why the buoys take you round it I think.

Last year the 'official' chart and John whites were very different, hence the second survey, which proved him correct, this year they match, so hopefully that means we can rely on them, as far as any chart can be relied on there.
