AS most of you know I have been ill this year & unable to take up our berth at East Cowes. I am in Addenbrookes now where they have just done a liver biopsy to help decide how much surgery I can take, transplant or attempt another repair. The marina operator named above have, under these extreme circumstances, very kindly credited most payments made this year against the same berth next year, which is very much appreciated. I just hope I make it that far.

refreshing to hear - we were nicely treated by premier this year when due to illness we couldn't get afloat in time to use up our pre purchased visitor nights before they expired - sent an email to premier who extended the expiry date through to end of october which was perfect

That's great news RD, hopefully you will have a swift recovery so you can start enjoying your boat again. :encouragement:

It is heartwarming to hear what the marina operators have done. All the very best in dealing with your health issues and look forward to a great season next year.

Totally agree, we called in at east Cowes 7 years ago ,after having a problem with our boat ,when heading back to the east
coast from the channel Isles, they looked after us so well ,
we never returned to our previous berth, fantastic staff,
Hope all goes well for you Pete,

If the junior doctors & nurses stop being idiots I might stand a chance !
Think I've upset them tonight but my god.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Rubberduck - nice the heat some businesses still have a heart. I’m with D&H at Haslar. They are a nice bunch.

We have been at Haslar for quite a few years and have always found Ben and Rachael (now at Deacons )plus all the team e.g. John and Dean most helpful both in terms of tending our boat but also helping out with our queries and problems . We don't get over to EC that much but they have always tried to accommodate us when visiting.

As for Nick and his whole team at Deacons; well, he certainly leads from the front!

After a long and at times very difficult rebuild in the yard this year, culminating in a frenzied Saturday spent folding himself into the engine bay rigging things with me on his day off. I have been thrilled with their service and attention to detail - I just can't recommend them highly enough.

Good luck Rubberduck hope it goes well for you.
