Having never been on the forum during the day. Main reasons being too busy at work and only having the internet at home on evenings and weekends. I am amazed how many people are logged on during the day....

So why is that.
Does nobody work ?? (or need to!!!)
Is work so easy / boring that you can play all day ??
Is the net free and easy at work ??
Do you work from home and thus do as you please ??
You have a secret scheduling system for posting messages written last night at some strange hour during the day.

My reason is simple ..... as I sit here applying for jobs, searching the net etc..... It makes light relief to have a read of the new messages.

So whats YOUR excuse ???

Plenty of Jobs in Guernsey, Vat free, £7500 personal tax allowance 20% thereafter and 20% tax releif on your mortgage however it will be a minimum of £220k. Alternatively I could rent you a house.

Oh Iam taking a stress break wen I visit during work hours. It is like a fag break but I dont smoke.

Me, well I'm retired, but can only get on here when I'm not out on the water, which, with this wonderful summer(!!!), is not as often as I would like. Tough old life.

Hey, Dom's idea of working in Guernsey sounds attractive, comparitively negligable income tax, road diesel 35p and petrol 45p a litre. Property not cheap, I looked in a few estate agents when there last week, can't get much under £250K. But rateable values, typically less than £50pa. Don't what the poundage is ,though.

Re: Work

Whats that, working for a living not very appealing. Why not become something in IT or failing that a Journo of some sort loadsa dosh/expences. and bugger all to do all day but think up whizz bang schemes to avoid paying any tax which will not have the inland revenue in fits of laughter.

It is more convenient for me to be permanently logged on, so I just go to the web page when I feel like it.

I have worked at home for some time now, the only problem is that my boat is only 2 minuets from the house, the urge to visit each day is to great, the other problem is do I visit the boat or keep logged on to the Forum, decisions decisions

Used to be on the forum at lunch time but just don't seem to have time and once I start I can't stop - an hour turns into two!

So now check the message before I go home and still here right now reading them as the bandwidth in the office is 2mb and much better than home and it cost nothing.

Dont really have a start and finishing time anymore. Cos I'm unemployable. So spend time breaking things then mending them. If I cant find anything to break, then I buy something and mend that. In between breaking and mending. I have a look on here. Cos if I leave it to long, I cant keep up and it becomes stressfull.

No one can force me to come here-----------
