Lovely name for the boat, JP Morgan, Assett Management. Sort of rolls off the toungue.

I also see that Team Eberspacher (2nd MOCRA multihull) finished. I'm amazed they managed to get started judging by all the Posts on here about difficulty starting Eberspachers.

SHe probably won't win - just happens to have been first across the line. Lots of boats yet to finish will have favourable handicaps, although she is likely to be 'well up there' !

My betting is one of the slower boats will win on handicap due to the rising winds later on.

Just got home after watching the race from Hurst Castle. 2:30 am is a silly time to get up though.........

Just started looking through some of the 150+ photos I took, which should keep me quiet for a while, but here's two from early on. The first is lookin "up Solent" before the fleet appeared, and the second is one of the first boat through the narrows (note the Bav 36 out for a day trip beside the biggie....... I thought for a while that he was going to impede him /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif)

So far the overall winner is a SCOD in theory one of the slowest boats in the race.
