I think the seller realises that there is virtually no value in the hull because even the most conservative estimate of the cost to completion is vastly more than a fair value for the completed boat. Unfortunately the scrap value is somewhat higher - I really hope that doesn't happenWell I hope the seller can wriggle out out that one.
I think I would be saying sorry mate but she not going for a £10er.
More to the point has a seller an obligation to sell for a ridiculously low winning bid.
Why didn't the seller start it an opening bid he would let her go for or put in a reserve.

I have emailed the seller and he is Very disappointed.
Understandably, but the contract with eBay requires him to supply the goods at the price bid - unless he wants to be drummed out of the regiment.
