David walliams time table..

It's interesting that all the TV references is re his swimming 140 odd miles. Not wanting to undervalue all that he is doing but it's all downhill and he won't be swimming against the current/tide; so with, let's say half a knot average helping him, six hours a day for 8 days then the current will propel him at least 24 of those 140 miles.

on the website:
Track David’s route as he navigates his way through the toughest, most dangerous and physically gruelling challenge he’s ever faced.

that'll be the robo's then ;-))

That's correct. I have proposed a Guard of Honour for him on the Sonning stretch.

2 lines of 10 MoBos each......stern-in so that he has to swim a channel of churning props.......should provide a little exhileration for him:D

Would this timetable be David's, by any chance?;)

Good luck to him in his epic swim.

Judging by the amount of rain that I have just had dumped on my head whilst running along the river I feel his progress will be somewhat faster when it starts to flow...however looking at the roads that were struggling and the drains overflowing he may well be pulled out due to the brown stuff will no doubt overflow into the river tonight...

Call me a cynic but I think the "spin-doctors" are at work hyping up the DW challenge to keep it forefront in the news; bring in more cash etc (which ain't a bad thing) and I'll say it again; he is not swimming for 140 miles. Yes he is covering 140 miles but will only be swimming for about 110 miles - the fecking current is doing the rest"

Consider the single hander teen sailor; went round the UK for BT Sport Relief Challenge, no news reports whatsoever and raised a grand from local friends.

Saw him briefly going through Culham lock this morning just before 8am, anyone who thinks this is easy and assisted by the current should go and dip their toe in and look at the colour and state of the river. I'm not a DW fan but its one hell of a challenge, fair play to him I wouldn't fancy swimming across the river let alone the entire length in 8 days, many peeps on here take longer than that in their Mobo's.
