From my understanding (with the context which preceded this section, talking about syringes and mixing pots), David appears to be talking about dispensing solutions which are not part of the manufacturers supplied kit. He notes that there are 'simple mixing pump solutions' which screw on top of the containers. If it's a 5:1 ration, 5 pumps of resin to 1 pump of hardener. I can't see why the pumps wouldn't be the same size unless someone had deliberately bought pumps of different sizes (which would seem odd).
BTW, the actual quote is 'so if it's a 5:1 ratio'. Can't really see how this can be misread. The label next to the picture of pumps with different sizes only asserts that pumps make the process quicker and simpler.
IMHO, JFKAL's criticism is completely unjustified (and would encourage others to read the informative article)
