Without a shadow of doubt the forum is much better with it turned "ON ON ON". Interesting threads will be around longer, those that are 'less interesting' will fall off the bottom. When additional information is added maybe weeks after the last post everyone gets to see it. A definite ON vote from me.

I don't know of any other 'proper' forums that don't use dateslip. It seems crazy to allow active threads to dissapear.

It keeps coming back to the top because it is an active discussion. QED!

Surely better than the old system whereby this thread would be split over several as people would have to keep starting it again from the top. We'd be up to about 5 threads on the same subject by now!

As soon as everyone has aired their views on the subject it will sink, that is the whole point and beauty of it.

And it is just SO much easier to log on and have all of the new or replied to since last visit posts neatly lined up at the top rather than having to keep on returning to the main index to scan up and down picking off threads that have replies since last visit don't you tihnk?

Definately an ON, just so much easier to use, and so much more useful.
