Hi
I know there are some other threads in this but we have Just checked in at Datca and for the first time in Turkey and thought some more info would be useful.
Seher Tours, which has been recommended on here, could not have been more helpful and efficient.
His office is off the roundabout just up the steps from the south quay.
He took our paperwork and started the process and had delivered for us the small glass of Turkish tea.
He then said come back later and everything will be ready. We returned and everything was done and all our Paperwork was ready in a neat folder with all his details on, see photo for info. He charged us 270tl.
As the banks were closed, Sun, we said could we come back tomorrow and pay him to which he replied of course and even gave us 100 tl until then! He also gave us all our paperwork back even though we said he could keep until we returned to pay. The whole process was so easy!
The Blue Card we got from a small building on the sea side of the main square next to the childrens playground, see photo. You pay the harbourman 20tl for this first.
We stayed on the South quay for 80 tl incl elec & water, we are 12.84m and for the second night the harbourman, nice chap, charged us 60tl after I asked for discount for two nights.
Quay is good but usual crossed anchor chaos in the mornings, gullets pushing their way in.
Lovely town and very chilled in the evenings. The beach on the north becomes restaurant seating in the evenings.
For our first experience in Turkey it has been a good start.
Now to find out how everyone deals with the water issues!
How does everyone deal with showering on the boat and emptying bilges? Toilets are obvious.
Anybodys experience would be helpful and also on bays travelling towards Marmaris from here, thanks in advance.

WE. BEEN ROBBERED , he charged us 280tl Haha , they very good .
Showering , grey water , black tanks ,most of it is common sense .
Don't empty soapy water , black tanks we trying to get the blue card stamp every three weeks , most people we met don't even do that , empty black tanks way out at sea . Showering hasn't been a problem , most of the time we shower of the back , we use very little shampoo so not to make to much soap suds . We been putting the washing up water in the black tank when in a anchorage , I think but what we seen and what we told too much has been made of it . We offen hear helicopters flying over head , we been told they are the poo helicopter , it seen to us there a lot of poo copter if that's true .
Enjoy Turkey and try and not to worry too much , once you been there for a while you will see there biggest problem isn't the yachts , it the Turkey Gullets .

Around Goeck and Marmaris are the worst places for Gullets , if you want to swim do it before they leave the anchorage or you might find it be a while before you can . It surprising how clear the bay's are concidering , Fethiye bay , don't bother , it brown and smelly it the only place we wouldn't bother going again . If your going East , once you get up to Kas the gullets get less and less , North Didim again there don't seen to be many , Mac the expert on Turkey , he can tell you more . Enjoy Turkey it another lovely country to explore .

...sorry Macd, not sure what you mean? :)

No night in Arctic Turkey at this time of year ;) For innocuous emissions, night is your friend (I'm far from advocating dumping anything unpleasant in harbours, anchorages etc,).

Vic, your first point is an overstatement, to say the least, but thanks for the kind thought.
Your second is spot-on.
