Blimmin heck, LJS. Great photos, but I spent 10 minutes looking for your Eos before the penny dropped!

SORTED!!!

He seems to have a fair old scope on his anchor?

Fabulous service, just keep a watchful eye out for future movements, on the webcam he has looked pretty close on occasions over the past few days.

Seems as though my flybridge tarpaulin has stayed in place during the gales on Monday, phew!!

There are two Eos's ? Do I assume, longjohnsilver that your Eos is between big Eos and the commercial fishing boat pontoon? She must appear in loads of my photos, so very glad to make contact.

Hi Andy, yes our Eos is the morotboat on the Kingswear trot 2 in front of British Steel.

Hope you don't mind me posting a link to your website, I think your photos are superb, could spend all day looking at them. Very envious of your outlook!! And those pics of big Eos at night are truly stunning, we must have just missed her. If you get out on the river do come across and say hi, the kettle's usually on or the drinks cabinet could be unlocked.....:)

How did you come across my post? I was told about your site by Di in the harbour office, very glad she did.

That's a very kind offer and you may well find yourself picking the drinks cabinet lock..........

Have you seen the album on the website specifically of Superyachts and super yachts? It's called, somewhat imaginatively Superyachts and super yachts

Here's a shortcut: http://bit.ly/rxRrkH

Or there's a link on the front page of

www.TheViewFromtheDartmouthOffice.com

I was going to take more night shots this evening, but I note that Eos (big Eos) has not turned al the mast lights on. Hmmm, I wonder if the crew might read this?

@longjohnsilver How did I come across your post? I discovered TVFTDO was getting a fair few referrals from ybw.com (145 today up to 8pm). The only time I have had that many referrals from a single site is when a national newspaper has mentioned my website. So thank you longjohnsilver, thank you Di in the Dart Harbour Office and thank you ybw.com and its readers. Impressive.

Great pics of very familiar sights and beautiful surroundings. The Dart takes a lot of beating as a boating venue. Thanks for posting.

My third attempt at replying - I think I may have mentioned my site a few too many times. Fair enough.
@longjohnsilver - you asked how I came to see your post, well it comes down to the popularity of ybw.com. I suddenly noticed that the visitor referrals from here were almost as high as when I get some sort of mention in a national newspaper. It's now 11.20pm and 179 people from ybw.com have visited my site today. That's very high, so I thank you LJS, I thank Di in the Harbour Office for telling you about me and I thank ybw with all its readers.
Impressive.

Thanks for posting LJS, and yes, very impressive photo's Dartman.

There is one shot of Eos (senior) close up onto the bowsprit, showing the highly polished SS base fittings of the three forestays.
They looked substantial, of course, but on another panned out shot of the whole boat you could see the shape of a crewman standing behind the aft one, which is bigger than his whole body!

A fabulous looking vessel.

Eos in Dartmouth

Hi and thank you everyone for your kind words about the pictures. This is my fourth attempt at replying because I fear I may have mentioned a certain website (mine) in the previous tries and they haven't passed approval.

What I have been trying to tell you is just how I came across longjohnsilver's original post. That's easy, in checking the Google Analytics on my site I discover a large number were referrals from ybw.com - 188 at the last count - which is almost as high as I get when there's a mention of my Dartmouth photographs in a national newspaper. (The Daily Mail website has used four pictures this morning)

So I would like to thank longjohnsilver for his original post. And thank Di in the Dart Harbour Office who told him about my site. And ybw.com and all it's readers for visiting. This si quite some forum, very active and very popular. I'll be back often.

Never ending posts

I've just had a nice note from the Moderator - there was no problem with what I wrote, but simply a delay because I'm a newbie. So now I have to apologise for all those repeat messages.
Ooops. I'm not really an impatient bloke.
