As some will know, we are at Glasson dock for Deborahs annual canal boat meet. We can't go to the other meets in the year, well not by boat cos the boat wont fit.

However tonight was the first contest of the weekend, A slow cruise with lights. Because of the high winds, only one boat actually set off. About three boats displayed an excelent light show, but from there berths, Understandable, because of the conditions.

Now surprisingly, we were asked to be the judges. So we can vote for the Commador, that actually set sail, with a quite impresive set of lights. Or a little narrow boat that was moored to the bank, but looked like it really did have two mastsd with four sails wrapped up.

Now it was the Commadore that asked us to judge, but the bloke on the little boat had been buttering up for a few days.

Is there some sort of protocol, that says you must vote for commadore, or others??

We did put our navigation and spot light on, and concider voting for ourselves.

Views from the pannel please. WE have to give our answer in the morrning.

You have to vote for the Commodore.
Then next year put yourself forward for Office.
'Vice Commodore'

If you want to duck out.
Just fire up MF.

By the time vis has cleared.
The Bank Holiday will be over and You will have made your escape!!

:Dwell I was asked by the commodore today, so who has won. I advised its the small boat thats been buttering us up for days, mind he didn't know till last night we were to be the judges. But very nice of him to bring me drinks (no idea who had provided them) last night in the beer tent :D:D

Well, I dunno. Not a million miles from Glasson (Heysham, in fact), when I was a student, the locals parted me and some mates from some beer tokens for a raffle which we had then had the misfortune to win.

Jaysus, we barely got out of the pub alive - but with our winnings.:D
