There used to be loads on ebay. Now there are none.
Typical price was less than £100. Now I can find one in USA for $250 (+++).
An internet search and Amazon reveals "out of stock".
Help!
Does anyone offer a repair service? I think mine suffered from water ingress.

Model is 12V-24V-Electronic-Unit-BD35F

Earlier this summer I had to replace my whole fridge, compressor + evaporator, I began asking around and looking in the internet and many sellers were saying "next delivery september, next delivery jan 23" and the like. Most of these fridges are made/assembled in Italy (Indel, Vitrifrigo, etc) so I called the manufacturers direct, they both said most of the production lines had been stopped because of various factors, Ukraine seems to be the place where the co'trollers are made. Best hope was to find someone with some residual stock, which I fortunately did, I bought the last kit SVB had available (for my needs).
Have a look at ebay.it too, there were several sellers at the time.

Just chatted to a nice lady at Danfoss who made a few possible suggestions and sell their parts including these controllers

Fridge Spares 01159708943

Dean & Wood 01159463678

Woolsley 02072319878

Good luck

That was a good steer but.
I found two;- one in England which was out of stock and the other does not ship to the uk!

I repaired my fridge controller once myself. The fault was that a soldered joint had failed on the back of the circuit board, and I resoldered it. The photo shows it after a few more years of work. As can be seen there is a heat sink that shows evidence of a burnt component. At that point a new compressor was fitted with its own attached controller, but I am sure that the burned out component could have been replaced.

I ordered from him but he cancelled the order. He needs to update his listing.
I also bought via Amazon who also cancelled the order. It was the same seller.

Edit;
the seller advised he had one returned (hopefully not defective!) and it is on its way.
Life without a fridge on the boat in this weather is no joke.

I’m so obsessed by it I’ve got 3 ways of getting things cold. We inherited an engine driven compressor with a very heavy plate 4cm deep that is designed to be used for 30 minutes 2 or 3 times a day and then holds that cold for many hours - and we kept it when we got a conventional Danfoss 12V fridge and plate. Plus a portable AC ice maker that takes a peak of 700W but averages about 90W that I can run through the invertor. Didn’t plan on the multiple redundancy but it’s been very useful a couple of times.

Oh - unhelpful! Glad he's found one for you now.

Thought it might include the compressor at this price ! Must be a world shortage as even used ones around £200.
That is expensive ! Iv always found them very reasonable ......... £35 for thermostat control unit + sensor ..... admittingly is was a while ago though .

@Graham_Wright Did you end up getting that OneCarPart replacement controller?

Just keep an eye out on how hot it gets, I've been using the fridge with the new controller in anger over this weekend and have noticed the control unit gets pretty hot - both the heat fins and the plastic casing on top. I measured 55C on top with a laser thermometer. Not sure if it should really be getting that hot - almost emitting as much heat as the compressor is...

I'm struggling with my fridge still, ongoing challenges getting it down below about 10C. Had a professional check the gas levels, and he concluded that the levels looked ok. Not sure if it could be anything to do with the control unit.

Would be interested to see if yours gets as hot when running @Graham_Wright

I bought one from Penguin, it took 2 months to arrive. They are in short supply due to Covid chaos and global chip shortage problems

Makes me reluctant to send this one back, I will admit. Maybe someone could have a feel of theirs when they're next running their fridge and see if it gets hot to touch too.

Given other fridge concerns, I'm also considering it might just be time to replace the whole unit.
