SWMBO wants an oven, probably to warm her pain au chocolat at breakfast time. Of course, if you have one, you get more interesting cooking options and I'd exercise the options. We don't have gas, but one of those nice Origo twin burners. With children on board a stove top Coleman oven seems unwise.
Origo oven is megabucks for what seems, in essence, to be a stainless steel box with a single? Origo burner at the bottom and a glass door at the front. It occurred to me that buying a moribund old caravan oven, removing all the gas bits and fitting a single spirit burner (Origo 1500?) in the base might solve the problem of SWMBOs wants without breaking the bank or getting really lucky off Ebay.
Any thoughts, or has the effect of working in the Portsmouth Municipal Home For The Bewildered finally rubbed off. The required skill set seems to be little more than basic tinbashing.
