ZigmundoVanDog, many thanks for your greeting.
I would have replied earlier but things got busy yesterday. Unfortunately any boating plans yesterday went right out of the window due to a stomping great easterly blowing into Torbay. The competitors in the Laser championships at Torquay were probably happy with it but I prefer to keep my breakfast down!
Friends who came over last night told us the main sea front road between Torquay and Paignton was closed early evening due to the waves crashing over the wall at Livermead.
A decent beer or two (Tribute) in the Drum at Cockington at lunchtime, luckily a fairly short walk through the woods from the gate in my back garden, was some compensation.
Looking out of the window it looks as though I am stuffed again today, my boat is not large and whilst it may be OK just outside Torquay harbour, my preferred grounds are rather exposed and rolling around at anchor in a big swell is something I try to avoid nowadays. Ten years ago it was a bit different.
