I have a starfisher 840 on a single shaft drive.
Id like to remove the propellor, but can’t shift the nut. How do I determine which way the nut tightens? I’m pretty sure my prop turns CW, so does this mean the nut tightens CCW?
Apologies if this is a silly question.

The nut tightens clockwise so counter clockwise to remove. Make sure your spanner is a really good fit and support the horizontal blade to the left in the picture on a block of wood.

Thanks very much, I have been blocking the prop blade with wood, but just can’t get the nut to budge. Hence the question. Wasn’t sure if I was tightening the nut by mistake.

Try putting some heat on it, a good blowtorch should do the job. It needs to be nice and hot.
