JD, you point out that they have managed to stop the disease in Hubei, but then you have to recognise that nowhere in the world the measures taken are as strict as in Hubei. Wuhan is still in lockdown
Up to a point. Yes, they have had some very draconian measures, but I gather there has been flexibility and responsiveness too, and in Hubei restaurants and bars are now open again, albeit for just a couple of hours a day.
It may well turn out that draconian action is simply necessary
It's not working in Italy. I'm sure we'll find out why in due course, and that doesn't rule out the possibility that it might work elsewhere.
