I suppose I'm a bit of a thug, but I'd just hit it with the grinder and suitable protection/gathering/cooling equipment. the one problem I would warn about is HEAT - any tool will generate it - even a handsaw, so keep the work cool or you could melt the surrounding plastic and end up with the most diabastrically annoying leaks.
