Customs rules for trip to Cherbourg

I'm planning a weekend trip to Cherbourg. Could I ask for help finding relevant paperwork to complete and an any other advice for this trip. Has anyone done this recently who can give some help?

What time do you plan to arrive as if after 6 it seemed rather deserted last year when I arrived. Have you consider mailing the marina as the manager there is most helpful and will no doubt send a copy of a briefing sheet

I assume you meant immigration and border control. Customs is normally about import of goods, duty and taxes
