Someone nicked my bilge pump! The boat was at Ballyronan, Lough Neagh under reasonable security so I must assume it may be the same individual who nicked my step ladder i.e. one of my 'fellow' berth holders. Now, I was a bit reticent about doing this but these individuals leave me no option so here goes.

"I hope you have pleasure from your ill gotten gains for as long as fate allows and that the ladder will not topple nor the bilge pump fail when you need it most but if these things do pass I hope the consequences are tenfold to the consequences left to me when you stole my property."

This has never failed. Within one year, someone responsible for these thefts will experience the fates they deserve. The curse cannot be lifted but the consequences can be reduced if the property returned...

arnt you concerned that if something nasty befalls these people that they wont sue you for endangering them by having faulty equipment that they had just "borrowed"

Borrowing something I can live with as long as it is returned. However, the term "just borrowed" dosen't cover the physical damage and ripped-out wiring etc incurred during the process of "borrowing", stress to the owner, financial burden to the owner and added danger to the owner- sue and be dammed I say!

This introduces an interesting concept though. For example, say someone informed me as to who had removed the items, I would then have to find proof, this proof would have to be substantiated before police involvement, the court referral is then next, followed by a time delay (if there would indeed be a court appearance!) during which the owner endures stress, financial hardship etc due to the actions of another.

I have, therefore, appealed to a higher court - the court of Fate whose judgements are immutable. The person(s) who took the items has already been identified to Judge Fate and the Judge is ready to pass sentence - and this time you don't get 'time off' for good behaviour. I can now replace the 'borrowed' items with myself, vessel and passengers free from lingering bad Karma and negative spirits - all of which will now follow the 'borrower' to their fate.

You should try this, it really works! But a word of warning....do not do it through a sense of maliciousness or it will back fire on you...
