Further to the Trinity House consultation about changing the buoyage off Reculver (see 'Last Calls for the East Last?' HERE)........
I have been through the Copperas Channel twice recently, both near low tide, once by plotter in the dark and once in daylight by Mk1 eyeball, and found nigh on 3m depth.
This morning on my clifftop stroll I saw 8 yachts (a club cruise?) heading eastwards through the Copperas, not far off LWS, good to see people using the route.

The names are shown on the charts. Gore Channel runs from the swatchway at its W end (marked by the E.Last and the Hook Spit buoys) eastwards to the S.Margate buoy.
The Overland Route or Overland Passage is the old name for the route from that swatchway, westwards across the shallows to join the Four Fathoms Channel off the East Swale.
The Copperas Channel is a short stretch off Reculver, south of the sandbank marked by the E.Last buoy.
