Heading for the Med and looking at building the library of cruising guides. I see that there is a new Greek Heikell due in September so will wait for that. Some guides are now quite old e.g. North Africa published in 2010 (with new info on Libya .... really). So we would like to visit Morocco, Tunisia, (We have SE Spain guide) , Balearics, Corsica, Sicily, Adriatic (including visiting Venice) Greece (including Crete) and Turkey. All recommendations from active/recent cruisers will be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Cruisers wiki can be quite useful. Unfortunately it is such a tedious process to add reports that few do it. I added some in Greece a couple of years ago but gave up after being told I was doing it wrong. Whereas the CA's Captain's Mate could not be easier and consequently enjoys new reports every day.

Another vote in favour of Captains Mate. Simple and often informative.

The RCCPF Islas Baleares pilot is pretty good (it's the first one that is really aimed at people anchoring a lot, with useful tidbits about dinghy landing spots and shops near them). The Med Spain one was so-so. Atlantic Spain/Portugal was ok. The Corsica/North Sardinia one I can't tell yet, but it's published 2013 and has received only minor updates in the online PDF since then. Will see when we get there.

Noonsite is very useful (and we're commenting there with our own findings), and Jimbsail.info for a coarser view of an area so you can plan where to go. Navionics (if online) often has helpful comments on anchorages too, although in many different languages. Satellite imagery is very useful here to check for sandy patches in Posidonia areas :) Lastly, chatting to other cruisers helps (although at times they remember things wrong - as do we).
