All good advice from others, but my two pence worth is this. When you have finally bought your boat after many sleepless nights of worry and then anticipation. You will find that your problems will be as follows 1% hull and 99% machinary.(Sort off)
Pay attention to that ratio when purchasing and you will avoid a shed load of trouble.Boats are only worth what the buyer will pay,not whatever the sellers/brokers fantasies may involve.Buy right and you can break even.Buy wrong and........Well just do not buy someone elses grief.Good luck.
Ps.50k.Will get you a very nice boat.

If truth be known, i am deaply ashamed to admit this, But i am having a 2gallon diesel tank fitted into the engine compartment of the boat next month.
I have just arranged that this morning.

I think i may need councelling/forums/images/icons/crazy.gif/forums/images/icons/mad.gif.

Petrol Rules..

Ah, the denial phase....

Forget the shrink, your doing the right thing.

I expect the tank is just so you can 'fill up' at the marina from the red diesel pump now and again, just to get 'a fix'.

(Hope you didn't pinch an eberspacher out of one of your trucks /forums/images/icons/wink.gif )

(If you did you may have the problem I have after pinching one from a crane - 24v!)

Yes the tank is for an Eberspacwhatdoyoucallit!!!
Noi didn't pinch it out a truck, My uncle works for Eberspacher and supplied me with one for the new boat.

He also told me not to put Red Diesel in it, but to use normal White stuff instead, as it is a lot cleaner than red.

Anyway you won't get much of a fix from Diesel, better trying Petrol, it gives you a higher high/forums/images/icons/crazy.gif.

Petrol Rules..

Sorry Al, but I'm going to cast doubt on your parentage.

You must have a fair few 'home counties' genes in your make up.

No true Scot would consider using white diesel where red is legal.

And the 'fix' comes from paying 30p not 80p per litre to fill up!
