Cruising CORFU (long)

Great report. Having been sailing here for just over 20 years, I still enjoy reading other people's adventures in all these places I know, so well.
Funnily enough, I've seen very little Anchor chain crossings in Gaios (our favorite place), occasionally yes, but nowhere near the amount you've seen.
We had a big regatta in August and the first leg was upto Erikousa. (My head gasket blew, an hour before the start..!) Half way up, it turned in a howler. One of my Greek mates said..''at the start, we were racing and all was well, after half way, it was survival'' They all got there but battered!!! Next day, racing down to Paxos....No wind at all!!!
Regards.

Great post and great pictures! I remember sailing around Corfu many years ago. Lots of Brits. I would recommend Parga and Sivota on continental Greece, not far from Corfu.

We did almost the exact same route about 4 years ago. I was the only 'sailor' amongst a crew of 5 absolute novice guys. My brother hired the boat and I was dismayed to see it was a Bavaria 52 without a bow thruster. It made mooring in tight spots interesting to say the least, but we had a absolutely great time, I love Corfu.
