Hello, a new member and old lurker here.
I've been also thinking about joining CA for a year or so and still really haven't made up my mind. As we (me and my wife) are in few months starting our year off from work and sailing from Baltic Sea to Southern Spain, now I guess would be the final time to decide.
I hear people talking about discounts. Are there discounts on marina fees in continental Europe, or is it just Med and UK?
It's just that the membership doesn't really offer us much otherwise, as we live in Finland. Insurance companies here are not interested about CA, lectures are in UK and haven't heard any boat chandlers here offering discounts for CA membership...you just have to haggle the best that you can
So discounts during our sailing would be beneficial, but is there so many marinas offering that?
Extra information is of course good and welcomed, but then again, I've read so many pilot books lately, that I probably remember each and every marina and anchorage in continental europe
