Like many I was lead away from my usual almanac publisher to the New Cruising Association Almanac last year.

It also had the bonus of tide tables for two years, but I have just received the 2004 booklet, and they have printed the times and depths across the two pages and in a much smaller font.Making it very much harder to read!

Has any of the other forum members seen this, and what are thier thoughts!!

Like you - I bought the CA books this year - mainly because of the two year tide tables. - by the way when do they come - I need them for January.

For a start - the layout is not as clear, and there are fewer ports covered. ie no Portland harbour etc. Alo you still need Mcmillans aboard becasue of the wealth of other info in it.

I think I will be back to McMillans after next year.

Just received the tables in the post - I cannot read them - the print is too small for me. I will be at the CA this evening and make a suggestion for their future editions. However the layout of the times of H and L water are more logical than 2003. I was always making errors when the times were side by side ratrher than underneath each other.
