After happily using Cruiser Uno for the past ten years I have use the new EU formula this year. Yacht launch at the beginning of April, and now in early July I appear to have a grass skirt growing around the waterline.

I don't recall this happening until at least October in previous years.

Has anyone else got a tale to tell with this "new" formula?

Cheers

I think you wil find the only active ingredient in the new formulation is cuprous oxide. The Non EU stuff also contained dichlofluanid, a fungicide, ( you may know it as N-{[Dichloro(fluoro)methyl]sulfanyl}-N′,N′-dimethyl-N-phenylsulfuric diamide ) which may not have been approved for EU use.

Similar experience here, but it does clean off quickly with use as it erodes.

I'm not impressed with Uno EU at all. I have upgraded to Micron Extra 2 with much better results. I do see some growth if I don't use the boat for 3 weeks or so, but it quickly falls away when I take the boat out.

I had Micron Extra 2 last time which was rubbish, so this year on cruiser Uno Eu and like OP also find that rubbish. Seems you just can't get decent antifoul these days!

Went to check on the boat this morning and please to say that Uno applied during the May bank holiday is working far better than Seajet did last year. Little bit of slime but that may be down to visiting Ashlett Creek last weekend, but no weed. However, I did use 6 litres of paint on a 31ft yacht. First coat was the old Uno and the second coat was the new EU stuff. Yacht moored near Premier in Gosport.

I get the bit that worked was the old antifoul.
